TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) instructors play a vital role in equipping youth and adults with the skills needed for employability, career advancement, and lifelong learning. They are not only educators but also industry-oriented trainers who bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications. In the Malaysian context, a TVET instructor is defined as an individual responsible for guiding, supervising, and assessing a trainee’s ability to integrate both theoretical and practical competencies (Commissioner of Law Revision Malaysia, 2006). As highlighted by UNESCO-UNEVOC (2020), TVET instructors are key enablers in shaping the capabilities of the future workforce. This programme is designed to prepare aspiring instructors with the essential skills, knowledge, and mindset required to deliver high-quality, occupation-focused training. Participants will be exposed to modern teaching methodologies, curriculum delivery, competency-based assessment, industry relevance, and practical classroom management. Graduates of this programme are equipped to serve in various TVET institutions under federal ministries and beyond—whether in formal training centres or community-based learning environments. At Yahos School of Skills, we are committed to producing confident, capable, and career-ready instructors who can inspire and lead the next generation of skilled professionals.
